final projects

My students SO impressed me with their final projects this semester.  From my Intro students to the Advanced Drawing students- they were all great.  Their challenge for the final project was to create a 3 piece concentration( works that revolve around the same theme or idea) .  They had to figure out ways to unite them visually and thematically.  Here's just some of the awesome results!

So as part of my latest baking adventures I decided to make little flag toppers for my cakes.  Easy assembly: toothpick+flag cutout of fun paper+glue= ta-da!

and then I made a card with party flags!

man vs. nature

This was a recent project I did with my students at school that rendered some pretty awesome works! I gave my drawing class the big idea of man vs. nature and they went with it!

We had our first annual art show at school this week-so I made over 150 mini cakes!

My rose bushes are blooming like crazy and I love it!  They got a little squished by the wind during our last big thunderstorm but are more are more beautiful than ever!
